Job Title : EHS Specialist

Location : San Diego, CA

Duration : 6 Months

Pay Range : $28 - $32 / Hour on W2

Onsite role : Monday - Friday

Shift : 7 AM - 3 PM

Job Description :

  • As the EHS Specialist II, you will prepare and / or assist in preparing policies and procedures in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
  • You have knowledge in EHS Programs, including but not limited to, Powered Industrial Vehicles, Ergonomics, Training, Risk Assessment, and Emergency Response.
  • Perform routine tasks with little instruction and supervision, and general instruction on new assignments.
  • This position will work closely with both senior internal and external personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct EHS walk through frequently including documentation and follow-up as needed.
  • Complete monthly EHS reports
  • Support incident investigations including near miss events, compliance issues, work-related injuries and / or illnesses.
  • Support site's Ergonomics Program.
  • Act as liaison to associates and others receiving or requesting ergonomic evaluations.
  • Provide guidance on EHS Training Programs.
  • Support the sites Hazardous Waste Program
  • Maintain working knowledge of local, State and Federal Regulations that apply to our operations including but not limited to Federal OSHA, EPA and California Health and Safety Code.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
